Good Mourning Counseling Center is pleased to have Amanda Jensen, LMSW working with us. Amanda is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has worked with individuals and families in crisis since 2005. Amanda has her Bachelors Degree from Texas Tech University in Human Development and Family Studies. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her Masters Degree in Social Work.

 

Amanda worked as an advocate at the Lubbock Rape Crisis Center and spent ten years working with children and families at Child Protective Services. During that time she spent five years in as an Adoption Prep Worker and has experience in helping families thru the adoption process and the challenges that a family can face during this time. For the last two years Amanda was a Primary Therapist at Insight Behavioral Health Center (now Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center). She now serves as a Mental Health Specialist for Austin Independant School District. Amanda is able to see private clients in the evenings and weekends and utilizes play and sand tray therapy.
